| TLDR: AAIF is launching an Ambassador Program. Ambassadors commit to one public contribution per month (tutorials, talks, videos, livestreams, blog posts, courses) all tied to AAIF-hosted open source projects. Applications are open on a rolling basis at aaif.io, with intake in January and June. Deadline for the first round will be June 12. |
Here’s something I’ve learned over years in developer advocacy: the best technical communities don’t grow because of marketing alone. They grow because a few passionate people decide to teach what they know, share what they’re building, and bring others along for the ride.
That’s exactly what I want the AAIF Ambassador Program to be.
We’re building something here at the Agentic AI Foundation that I genuinely believe matters — open standards, open source tooling, and real infrastructure for the agentic AI era. Projects like Goose, MCP, AGENTS.md and the broader AAIF ecosystem are solving problems developers are running into right now. But great open source projects don’t speak for themselves. They need advocates who can explain them clearly, demo them honestly, and help other developers actually get started.
So we’re making that official.
One contribution. Every month. That’s it.
The program is intentionally simple. Ambassadors commit to producing one public contribution per month. Every contribution has to tie directly to an AAIF project and help a developer understand it, try it, or build with it.
That could be a meetup talk explaining how AGENTS.md fits into your workflow. A tutorial walking someone through their first MCP integration. A livestream where you build something real with Goose and let people watch you figure it out. A blog post that takes a genuine developer problem and shows, concretely, how AAIF projects help solve it.
We’re looking for project-based advocacy that creates real value for real developers.
Why you’d want to do this
I’m not going to pretend this is purely altruistic. Ambassadors get perks, and I’m proud of what we’ve put together.
You’ll be featured on the AAIF Ambassador page, get early briefings with AAIF project maintainers, access to private Ambassador channels, and amplification across AAIF’s social and newsletter channels. We’ll boost your content. We’ll make sure your work gets seen.
And when it comes to in-person events, we’re going all in on our AGNTCon conferences in Tokyo, Amsterdam, and San Jose. Ambassadors get discounted tickets, VIP seating and lounge access, dedicated time with AAIF leadership, and an acknowledgment during the keynote. That last one is not small. It means something to have your community work recognized on that stage.
Who we’re looking for
The ideal ambassador isn’t necessarily someone with 100k followers or a PhD in machine learning. The people we’re most excited about are the developers who already have some combination of technical credibility, community presence, and a track record of explaining hard concepts clearly. People who are genuinely interested in agentic AI and open source. People who are willing to tie their work to specific AAIF projects.
If you’ve ever written a tutorial because you wished it had existed when you were learning something, you’re probably the right fit. If you’ve given a conference talk not because it was on your career checklist but because you had something real to say, same. If you’re the person in your Discord community who actually answers the questions, absolutely apply.
We want a cohort that represents the full range of how developers learn: written content, video, live coding, teaching, building, organizing. There’s no one profile here.
Applications are open now
The Ambassador Program page accepts rolling applications. We run two intake cycles per year in January and June, so wherever you are in the year, apply now and we’ll review you for the next cohort. For this initial round, the deadline will be June 12.
If you’ve been looking for a reason to go deeper with agentic AI, this is it. If you’ve been building with Goose, working with AGENTS.md, or contributing to the MCP ecosystem and want your work to reach more people, this is it. If you want to be part of the community that actually shapes how agentic AI gets taught and understood by developers worldwide, yeah this is it.
Come build this with us.
